Help Us Build the BeKhmer Heritage Map

BeKhmer is more than a place to talk. We want it to become a place where Khmer culture, knowledge, memories, and traditions can be shared and preserved for others to discover.
One project we're planning is the BeKhmer Heritage Map — an interactive way to explore Cambodia and the culture connected to its different places.
Over time, we hope you'll be able to explore provinces and locations throughout Cambodia and discover things such as temples and historical places, traditional foods, festivals and customs, photographs, local traditions, stories, language, and other pieces of Khmer heritage.
But we don't want to build this by ourselves.
We want the BeKhmer community to help build it.
Our members may know places we've never visited, traditions passed down through their families, regional foods and customs, local history, stories from older generations, or simply have photographs worth preserving and sharing.
As the project develops, we'll invite members to contribute their knowledge, photos, stories, suggestions, and corrections. The best contributions can become part of the permanent Heritage Map, with credit given to the members who helped make it possible.
We will start small and expand it over time. Our goal isn't simply to fill a map with information. We want to create something that reflects the knowledge and experiences of Khmer people themselves.
If you're joining BeKhmer early, you'll have an opportunity to help shape this project from the beginning.
Our culture belongs to all of us. Let's preserve and share it together.
Be Proud. Be Connected. Be Khmer.
